SENIOR MOBILE SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Cellmania is looking for an experienced mobile software developer to help architect and build our pioneering “MSX” application and UI environment for mobile devices. As Senior Mobile Software Engineer, you will have a key role in the development of the native C++ mobile client, working closely with a small team of user interface designers and other client and server-side engineers to enable next-generation mobile experiences for top US and international operators.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate requirements from customers, product management, and business development to define product features
  • Prototype key aspects of your code early in the development cycle using modern development methodologies
  • Produce detailed design of your software modules
  • Fully implement product features and conduct unit and integration testing with baseline code
  • Estimate development time of your feature work and assist in scheduling and resource balancing with other software engineers
  • Work together with QA Engineers as a team to create appropriate test plans and deliver a highly reliable product

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of industry experience developing native software on mobile and/or embedded devices
  • Experience in developing highly efficient software for resource-constrained platforms
  • Fluency in C/C++ is a must
  • Experience with any of the current mobile operating systems and native application frameworks including Microsoft Windows Mobile/Windows CE, Qualcomm BREW, Symbian/Series 60, and Apple iPhone OS
  • Experience with desktop Windows PC and or Mac OS X development a plus
  • Experience with ARM development, performance optimization, and remote debugging a plus
  • Experience with 2D and 3D graphics, digital audio, and digital video a plus
  • Knowledge and experience with mobile phone software including MMI, SMS, MMS, WAP, J2ME a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent and proven problem-solving, architecture, and software engineering skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a small, dedicated team
  • MS or BS in Computer Science or equivalent field is required

Location

This is a regular full-time position based in Cellmania’s Mountain View, CA office, close to downtown Mountain View and Cal-Train. SF Bay Area applicants only. Some work-at-home/remote may be possible depending on the circumstances.
