Cellmania and ClickSoftware Mobilize the Field Service Worker
Cellmania and Clicksoftware solution to increase productivity for mobile field service technicians with Cellmania mEnterprise and Clickschedule
CAMPBELL, Calif. and MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif, May 29, 2001 -- ClickSoftware, Inc. Under the terms of the agreement, Cellmania is releasing its fully integrated field service offering that includes the Cellmania mEnterprise mobile business platform and licensing ClickSchedule, ClickSoftware's optimized service scheduling solution. With Cellmania's field service offering service-oriented businesses now have a fully integrated solution for field workers, dispatch center managers and end-users.
Specifically, this application will enable service technicians to maintain, rearrange and optimize their schedules using mobile devices such as two-way pagers, WAP phones, handhelds and interactive voice response systems throughout the work day, eliminating a backlog of schedule changes and orders at the end of the day. Field service technicians will now be able to handle scheduling changes and the ordering of new parts and services wirelessly. The benefits are better customer service and improved productivity.
This solution also provides field service technicians a more efficient means of communicating with co-workers and central dispatch offices, enabling the dispatchers to better track the location of field service professionals and assets. Technicians can also become another link in the sales efforts, as they will now have the ability to upsell customers on additional services and products or offer them special promotions, as they will have access to real-time information on their wireless device.
