Cellmania Unveils New Mobile Business Platform

mEnterprise helps businesses increase mobile workforce productivity and extend customer relationships

New York—Wireless expert Cellmania today unveiled its latest mobile business-to-business platform, mEnterprise, at the Mobile Commerce Conference & Expo held at Manhattan's Jacob Javits Center. The platform, mEnterprise, delivers mobile content, transactions and communications in a location- and time-oriented fashion. The new offering integrates with existing infrastructure, allowing business managers and end-users to personalize the mobile application, increasing mobile workforce productivity and allowing companies to extend their customer relationships through mobile channels.

"Integrated data and voice capabilities of wireless devices encourage more effective communications, but given the current limitations of the wireless Internet such as small screen size and limited data input capabilities, wireless applications must be designed to personalize the experience for the end-user and still be robust enough to manage that experience, regardless of any wireless network instabilities," said Ronjon Nag, Ph.D., CEO and cofounder of Cellmania. "Cellmania's mEnterprise will accomplish those goals, resulting in increased employee productivity and improved customer service."

Cellmania's mEntreprise will initially appeal to businesses with mobile workforces such as insurance companies, financial services or consulting firms. For instance, field service professionals can view and manage their work schedules and tasks, view product catalogs for replacement parts, communicate with other co-workers and central dispatch offices, so dispatchers can better track location of field service professionals and assets. As another example, field sales representatives will also be able to access and manage customer information, view product catalogs, check inventory availability, place orders, and communicate with nearby co-workers, partners or customers.

"Many wireless companies offer services on the business side with somewhat mixed results," said Sherry May, cofounder of ScheduleMe, Inc., a scheduling solution for hospitality and resorts. "What was missing was a strong integrated enterprise solution. Cellmania's mEnterprise meets that need for us."

Cellmania expects that as demand for m-commerce grows, merchants will also flock to mEnterprise, as it enables retailers and wireless carriers to offer perishable and location-based inventory such as tickets to events, hotel rooms and product "specials" at discount prices to local mobile shoppers in real-time and allow them to instantly purchase items via their cell phone.

mEnterprise is the latest offering in Cellmania's integrated mobile business solution strategy, providing personalized location-centric mobile commerce, content, products, and services to manufacturers, carriers, retailers and enterprises.

This platform further enhances Cellmania's two existing wireless applications: mStore™, which allows companies such as Office Depot and Circuit City to offer wireless products and services on their Web retail sites; and the award winning mFinder™, which allows wireless operators, like Airtel, to build mobile portals that offer their end users the ability to identify, test drive and bookmark, thousands of the best mobile Internet sites from a desktop PC onto wireless devices. This allows mobile operators to offer significantly more content, thereby encouraging use of the mobile Internet, and with Cellmania's bookmarking architecture, significantly reduce operator turnover.

"The best way to think about Cellmania's offerings is to think of us as an ecosystem, in that we touch all aspects of the wireless supply chain," said Nag. "As such, Cellmania is currently the only company able to help an enterprise build a mobile site, promote the site and equip people to use it."
